Sale of Pälkäneen Valokuitu Oy’s Fiber Network to GlobalConnect Oy

Applex Attorneys advised Pälkäneen Valokuitu Oy in the sale of its fiber network to GlobalConnect Oy. With the acquisition, GlobalConnect expands its fiber network in the Pirkanmaa region by 514 kilometers and adds more than 1,000 new homes to its Finnish customer base.

Pälkäneen Valokuitu Oy is a Pälkäne Municipality owned company. As one of the portfolio companies of the Swedish EQT AB, GlobalConnect is one of Northern Europe’s leading providers of digital infrastructure and telecommunications. The group employs approximately 2,000 people and generated revenue of EUR 673.1 million in 2022.
