Millog Oy – Acquisition of Oy Western Shipyard Ltd

Applex advised Millog Oy on its acquisition of Oy Western Shipyard Ltd from APX-Metalli Oy. The transaction was completed on 1 October 2020.

The purchaser Millog provides support and maintenance services for the Finnish Defence Forces’ systems and material as well as for various other critical systems and material. Millog Group has more than 1,000 employees and an annual turnover exceeding EUR 220 million.

Western Shipyard’s business includes docking and repairs of ships and floating structures. The company has an annual turnover of ca EUR 16.3 million and it has 34 employees. The company’s clients comprise, for example, the Finnish Defence Forces, the Finnish Border Guard, Finferries and Patria.
