AQ Group AB – acquisition of Trafotek Oy

Applex advised AQ Group AB on its acquisition of Trafotek Oy (LTI Holding Oy) and its subsidiaries in Estonia, China and Brasil from Intera Fund I Ky and the other sellers. The transaction was completed on June 3, 2019 after approval from the Finnish and the Estonian competition authorities.

The purchaser AQ Group AB (listed on Nasdaq Stockholm) is a global manufacturer of components and systems for industrial customers with high demands. The company has more than 6,000 thousand employees worldwide and an annual turnover of ca EUR 450 million.

Trafotek is a leading supplier in design and manufacturing of specialized power electronics components, such as reactors, transformers and filters in medium to high power range. Trafotek’s customers include leading players in the fields of power electronics, industrial automation, renewable energy and marine industry. The company has an annual turnover of ca EUR 45 million.
