Lindström Group’s Comforta Oy – Acquisition of Lännen Tekstiilihuolto Oy

Applex advised Lindström Oy and Comforta Oy in Comforta’s acquisition of Lännen Tekstiilihuolto Oy. The transaction entered into force on 3 August 2020.

Lindström is a Finnish textile services company focused on the cleanliness and furnishing of office premises, workwear and protective clothing, and is one of the leading textile services companies in Europe. Lindström’s subsidiary Comforta offers solutions for textile services in hotels and health care industries. Turnover of the Lindström Group is approximately EUR 408 million, and it employs over 4,500 people in 24 different countries.

Lännen Tekstiihuolto Oy is a textile services company operating in five regions on the south and west coast of Finland. The company is focused on the rental and maintenance of institution textiles, hotel textiles, and workwear, and had a turnover of approximately EUR 5.7 million in 2019. Lännen Tekstiilihuolto employs around 46 people.  The acquisition by Comforta strengthens the business of the Lindström Group, especially in the healthcare industry, and is a part of the growth and enlargement strategy of Lindström.
